After 38 years of being a GP in Narooma, Dr Jenny Wray is handing over her Lighthouse Surgery in Narooma and BermaguitoDr Gudrun “Gundi” Muller-Grotjan and Jane Taylor.
Dr Wray said she wasready to exit the businessand wanted a change, but isstaying in Narooma to enjoy herretirement.
She isconfident the new owners, who are current employees,will do a great job. “It’s just wonderful and they will be fabulous,” she said.
Dr Gundi has been a doctor at the surgery for 10 years, while Mrs Taylor has worked in administration at the surgery for many years and is a true Narooma local having grown up on Montague Island with her lighthouse keeper father and family, and since marrying into the well-know local Taylor family.
Patients won’t notice any changes in the short term, butDr Muller-Grotjan said two new doctors wouldarrive at the surgeries in February.
Dr Wray has been a GP for 43 years and has operated the Lighthouse Surgery since 1994. She has won numerous awards including thetheAustralian General Practitioner of the Year award in 2011 and theTelstra NSW Business Women Business Owner of the Year in 2013.
